Every year, Kirkwood Community College honors all of the students who have achieved academic excellence at the Outstanding Student Recognition ceremony. A student must meet specific criteria in order to be selected. A student must have a 3.3 Kirkwood grade point average to be nominated and must also have at least 20 semester hours of Kirkwood credit.
Students with outstanding academic records are named to the Dean’s List. To qualify, a student must have completed 12 credit hours of graded course work and achieved a grade point average of 3.3 or higher. A minimum of six graded credit hours must be earned in the term of the award.
